Using your ruler, start drawing your shapes onto your box.
Cut it out, girlfriend.
Once everything is cut and numbered, lay it out to resemble your sketch. Take a good look at it before busting out the fabric. You might want to make some revisions!
I ended up taking a few shapes out of my design. That poor triangle never stood a chance!
Lay your cardboard (face down) on your scrap fabric (face down) and cut around it with at least an inch or so to spare.
Here you have a choice of glue or staples. I chose staples. Make sure you have a stapler that allows you to pull the bottom away, so the staples don’t fold onto the front of your shape.
-I learned that the best way to staple is top and bottom first, and then left and right. It makes the fabric much easier to work with.
